Tewksbury Congregational Church

Dorcas’ Kitchen

"Now in Joppa there was a disciple whose name was Tabitha, which in Greek is Dorcas. She was devoted to good works and acts of charity." Acts 9:36

Our members and friends are dear to us, and sometimes they need a bit of TCC TLC- tender loving care. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, recovering from an illness, or celebrating the arrival of a baby, the gift of a home cooked meal will undoubtedly warm your heart and soul. Our dedicated Dorcas' Kitchen Crew meets regularly to prepare tasty soups and entrees and desserts that are flash frozen in the church kitchen and then at the ready for delivery.

For some of our homebound members, these meals are the continuous link to their church family, and to our newer members, the meals show a sense of care and comfort that they surely did not expect from their neighborhood church. Dorcas had a way of making people feel special and loved. We honor this strong Biblical figure by continuing her legacy of kindness.
