Rev. Dr. Norm Bendroth
Rev. Bendroth has been working with churches and non-profit organizations for over thirty years in a variety of capacities. Ordained in the United Church of Christ, he has served urban and suburban churches as a settled pastor in two churches and as an intentional interim minister in nine churches. Rev. Bendroth is a Transitional Ministry Specialist certified with the Interim Ministry Network where he also serves on their faculty. He has further training in Conflict Transformation, Family Systems, Coaching, and Appreciative Inquiry. Norm, as he likes to be called, also does coaching, consulting and teaching with the New England Pastoral Institute. He edited a book called Transitional Ministry Today which came out last December.
Norm has been married to Peggy Bendroth for 37 years. She is a professional historian, an author of six books (the most recent being Remembering as a Spiritual Practice) and is the Executive Director of the American Congregational Association which houses the archives and collections from all Congregational traditions. They have two adopted Amerasian children, Nathan (29) who is an technician for BMW and Anna (27) a culinary genius. In addition, they share a house with an with two cats: Garbonzo and Toot. Norman likes to bike, backpack, write, read widely, play guitar and lots of other odds and ends.
